Donate clothes 4 Sammy is launched and fully operated by a charity Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK. Project’s aim it to recycle pre-loved clothes to save planet, raise funds for schools, our charity and our partnered charities. Only our charity leads such a project in the UK!

How to join Sammy’s project?

You can simply go to Info for schools page and fill out the form. One of Sammy’s Team member will be in touch shortly. Alternatively, you can email our team on sammy@donateclothes4sammy.org

What materials we provide and how much it costs?

It’s a FREE collection service operated by a charity. You do not pay anything, we pay you for collected pre-loved clothing! Each school will be provided with charity bags for clothing, posters, a banner, stickers for pupils, and a letter with instructions—everything necessary to kickstart fundraising for your school!

Each school enters into a Competition when joins Sammy’s project – what is it?

The top collecting school in the next six months gets a special visit from our fennec fox Sammy in a mascot costume with cool gifts and presents for the little superheroes supporting his mission! He will visit a winning school for one hour!

Do we have Metal clothing containers that can be placed outside the school?

Yes, we do have a Metal clothing bin available to be placed by your school. The bin features our adorable fennec fox Sammy, making it even more appealing for pupils to take a look! We believe it’s a fantastic idea to have a metal bin as it will assist us in reducing plastic usage and contributing positively to our planet’s health!

Once a container is full, simply go to Book collection page and we aim to empty it within a few working days.

If you would like a metal bin to be placed by your school, please feel free to email us at sammy@donateclothes4goodcauses.org and we are more than happy to organise it for you totally for FREE!

How much we pay?

Our rate is the highest on the current market in the UK – £1 per kilo (35p/kilo is donated to the charity Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK to cover project admin and running costs, and the school also receives a certificate!)

What else you as a school will receive from us?

Guess what? We have got connections with some super generous people around the world who are supporting our charity Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK. If your school joins in, we will arrange free tickets for pupils to awesome events and shows!

Good causes deserve lots of encouragement, right?

When payment will be made?

You will receive a cheque on the day of collection. Clothes will we weighted in our van and a driver will issue you a cheque with a payment straight away.

Each school will get a Certificate of Recognition from a charity Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK and a cheque for the payment. Also, we have a huge cheque pupils can take photo with.

  • Uniforms

Severe weather conditions: How to store bags for collection?

We continue to collect even during severe weather conditions. If you’re leaving collection bags outside, please ensure they’re all covered to keep them dry, as we do not weight and pay for wet clothing.

What time and days we collect?

Collections are made Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.

Can you leave bags outside?

Absolutely, you’re welcome to leave your bags outside if you’re not going to be in. Just ensure they’re placed in a dry area during rainy weather. Otherwise, our driver will knock on the door. Additionally, you’ll receive a notification indicating the approximate time when the driver will reach your address, as well as a heads-up 5 minutes before their arrival.

How you will be notified of a collection day and time?

Once your address has been added to a driver’s route, you will receive notification of an estimated time and collection day. Additionally, you will be notified 5 minutes before the driver arrives.

How you can join Sammy’s project?

It is a unique project designed to raise additional funds for your charity. Operated entirely by the experienced team at Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK, we understand the importance of maintaining your reputation as much as our own. We are dedicated to ensuring that this project not only contributes to your cause but also reflects positively on both of our organisations.

How the process of fundraising for your charity will happen?
  1. We’ll team up with your charity officially.
  2. After the formal part, your charity’s logo and website will be placed on our project’s website: https://donateclothes4sammy.org/our-charities/
  3. Donors will complete clothing collection request form on our website and they choose which charity to support: https://donateclothes4sammy.org/book-collection/
  4. Should a donor select your charity for support, our driver will collect pre-loved clothes and take them to our warehouse.
  5. We handle all the recycling, and your charity gets £0.20 for each kilogram of clothes people donate to support you.

So it means we will handle all processes. All you need is to join our project and receive extra funds from us!
