Route and Schools Collections Van Driver Vacancy – Charity Collections

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Route and Schools Collections Van Driver in Liverpool to join our team!

Donate Clothes 4 Sammy Project is launched and fully operated by a registered charity Leukaemia & Myeloma Research UK, aiming to become the UK’s leading charity in supporting efforts to combat the three major types of blood cancer affecting hundreds of thousands of people.

We are looking for a friendly, responsible, self-motivated and reliable driver to collect donated goods from households, clothing banks and schools addresses in the North West area on a daily basis for recently launched project “Donate Clothes 4 Sammy”.

  • Contract: Full Time
  • Salary: £13.71/hour + £14.21/hour Overtime pay
  • After probation period (6 months) salary: £15/hour
  • Collections areas including but not limited to: Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Greater Manchester, Flintshire, Shropshire, possibly further if required.
  • Van location: Hyde, Tameside
  • Due to the number of applicants and a nature of job, recruitment process takes longer.

Typical working hours are as follows: 9am – 5.30pm (including 30 minutes of unpaid break)

You may need to work overtime on certain days to finish route, depending on a traffic on the roads.

Requirements:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Preferred DBS check certificate
  • An experienced driver with a relatively clean driving license
  • Previous experience in a similar role beneficial
  • Ability to communicate in English in a friendly way
  • Able to work 5 days a week 9am-5.30pm
  • Ready to work overtime in a busy times
  • An ability to physically lift and carry large amounts of donated clothing bags
